Wwhat Spyke may be saying about me

I recently found out that my ex boyfriend Spyke has said some pretty nasty things about me. I don't know how many people he has said nasty things to but I hope that people will remember that people will often say hurtful things about others when they themselves are hurting.

What I was told he said about me is not true. I will not go into what I was told he said about me... this is simply a notice that yes I do know and no they are not true.

The Rent Party - CANCELED

I am so incredibly sorry and it breaks my heart to have to notify everyone that tomorrow’s event ‘The Rent Party’ is canceled but hopefully only postponed. Unfortunately Gemini Manor owner is currently undergoing tremendous stress in regards to two terminally ill family members and is not able to provide Gemini Manor as a venue in time for us the organizers to set up the venue for such a large scale event.

On behalf of everyone at Bohemian Marketing and those who have given tremendous efforts in helping to put this event together in such a quick matter, I sincerely and genuinely apologize from the bottom of my heart. At this time during such a nerve-racking moment, it is my belief that the very best decision is to postpone the event to a new date. I sincerely hope that the new (postponed) date of The Rent Party will remove the dark negative blotch that this cancellation has caused.

Even now I am already in talks with new venue managers and owners for a replacement venue for a new date. However, I feel to not cancel /postpone now would be a severe injustice to the musicians and artists who have selflessly donated their time and art in preparations for tomorrow’s event. While this cancellation is last minute my hope is that the artists will be able to secure another event where they may share their art on the busiest night of the week.

Hope, positive energy and prayers are sent to Gemini Manor and his family. My sincerest apologies to all of my friends, guests, co-organizers, volunteers and artists for canceling on such short notice. I sincerely hope I / we can make it up to you at the new date that I will announce next week.

My name is Sierra Night Tide and I’m working as the volunteer Project Manager for The Gemini Manor. Currently The Gemini Manor is going through A LOT of changes. I can’t announce all the changes just yet but it’s an exciting time to be a Gemini Manor member. If you’re currently not a member or you need to renew your membership you can send an email to GeminiManor at Earthlink .com and request membership.

Everyone who renews or starts their membership by or on Sunday May 17th will be able to pay the current membership price of only $35 for six months and $60 for 12 months.

After May 17th the membership dues will increase. Why?

Lots of happy and cosmic changes. Want to save a little money? Want to be one of the first to see these changes?

On Sunday May 17th at 1pm. Gemini Manor organizers are looking for volunteers to help re-energize the Gemini Manor for a light spring cleaning and general assistance to help Alex with various small little things. On the day of the Volunteer gathering there will be an hour or two of cleaning, a potluck and a look at what is new and coming!

Volunteers are also needed to assist with various changes / projects that are currently happening within the Gemini Manor magic. This includes help with two (somewhat) large ‘flash mob’ type events potentially the first and second weekend of June. Plus Gemini Manor will need to hire a couple of (temporary / event only) people in the upcoming weeks for special projects. There will be a Volunteers Needed sheet at the potluck as well as an inside look at what’ happening. If want some extra exposure for your website you don't want to miss out on the May 17th gathering. :)

Volunteering: The time commitment depends on the kind of job a volunteer is interested in. All volunteers (and only volunteers) who are able to attend the Sunday May 17th 1pm meeting will get the very first look at the new Gemini Manor projects / information and changes that are happening in the Gemini Manor community – there are a lot of changes!

Also everyone who participates on Sunday May 17th, 2009 at 1pm will get a 3 free membership!

Everyone interested should contact either Alex or me (Sierra Night Tide) through Tribe or SNT.GeminiManor@GMail.com so that I can put your name on the list for the day, provideyou the address if you need it and so that I can ensure enough material including water in provided for all volunteers.

No, please don't protest or argue about how disgusting/unburner myspace is. Alex had a huge crash on his computer and lost thousands of email addresses and so attendance at the manor had been depressed lately. You might want to reregister on the email list either at www.geminimanor.com or in person at the manor if you can't remember when you last received a gemini update.

The gemini myspace is an effort to keep members connected to the goings on at gemini and hopefully pull in a new generation of burners to the manor as well. The myspace is not actually run by Alex but by myself, with his permission. Link: www.myspace.com/geminimanor

So it's been forever and a day since I've been to gemini and I think I'm gonna go this sunday. Anybody else in? Would be a great time to see some old friends and meet some new ones.

Gemini Manor is an amazing gathering place for free spirits, adventurers and artists of all types. For the past 10 years or so, I have had incredible fun and met some of the best people you ever want to meet. My Gemini Manor friends are the ones who told be about Burning Man and encouraged me to go. Here's how the proprietor, Alexander Lehr, describes his magical hide-away:

Gemini Manor began its remarkable life as a simple "Hollywood Bungalow" style house. Alexander (a Collector of Many Things) purchased it in 1970 and later connected it (using a small bridge) to an adjoining home. The two separate places now formed the dual identity of the mysterious Gemini Manor.

Parts of homes that were abandoned or being demolished; stage props; discarded toys and auto parts, tree branches and old bathtubs and concrete statues: all these and countless other objects began to give new and fascinating life to the tired old bungalows. The two halves were slowly transformed into a whole and exciting marvel of charm and beauty.

As word spread about the unusual Manor, people began arriving to explore this strange gem on the fringes of Hollywood. They were not disappointed. Numerous stained glass windows, artworks from many periods and flavors, dragons, wizards and fairies, unicorns and beautiful maidens, rustic woodwork, towers and skylights greeted those curious enough to discover its inside treasures. And outside, they could find peace and harmony in the Reflections Garden. A quiet place surrounded with fishponds, lovely plants, trees, toys, beautiful ironworks and questioning statues.

A woman visitor remarked many years ago that she had figured out the answer as to why The Manor was the way it was: "So that a person's eyes would never be bored no matter where they looked."

And so it is. Over the years, many have been drawn to colorful events at The Manor. Concerts, shows, parties of all kinds, weddings, poetry and stage plays, art presentations, children's tours and even a woman's boxing match! People from many lands, political and personal persuasions, young and old have enjoyed the timelessness of this Place Out of Time.

Perhaps, someday you will pay a visit?
